Have you ever picked up a book and based on the cover you decided that you didn’t want to read it?
Well, the same sentiment applies to developing relationships (i.e. friendships). Oftentimes, we allow ourselves to use such things as to what a person looks like, what they wear, what they drive and what how much they make in a year as the basis to forming a relationship with them. We fail to realize that thinking along these lines hinders us from developing viable and productive relationships and potentially good friendships. Nonetheless, we should never judge a book by its cover. We would never know its value until we open it up and read it. The same holds true for people, we never know the value of what someone has to offer until we allow them into our life and discover what they have to offer.
